  • Position Summary

    Our Team
    Discovery Digital Studios supports content, product, and audience development for the lifestyle networks Food Network, HGTV, Travel Channel, TLC, and Investigation Discovery. The audience development team supports the site, social, and direct-to-consumer businesses for the lifestyle networks, including Food Network Kitchen, and provides digital support to other networks including Discovery, Animal Planet, OWN, Motor Trend, and more.

    The Role

    This role will lead strategies for cultivating community engagement programs associated with lifestyle direct-to-consumer products. S/he will assist the marketing team with the development, planning, execution, and reporting of influencer campaigns, insider clubs and additional strategies aimed at growing and retaining valuable audiences across key digital platforms and with key distribution partners. This role is on the Digital Studios Marketing team and reports to the Director, Digital Marketing and PR.




    1. Lead the development of tactical strategy involving digital influencers and referral marketing
    2. Recommends influencer partners based on follower demographics and maintains lists of contacts
    3. Actively participate in brainstorms and generate influencer led ideas
    4. Assist in creatively identifying ways to reach influential consumers
    5. Present out-of-the-box marketing strategies with recommended scope-of-work, proposed budget allocations and scheduled content calendars
    6. Work closely with the social media and talent relations teams to craft messaging strategies for talent and influencer posts
    7. Work across product, partnership, and social marketing teams to construct consumer-to-consumer referral marketing strategies and rewards programs
    8. Manage influencer campaigns from conception to execution, including identifying, evaluating, negotiating, briefing and invoicing influencers
    9. Pulling influencer analytics and creating comprehensive spreadsheets to store program results
    10. Produce and present post-campaign influencer and referral campaign recaps to review initiatives, analyze performance, comprehend results and recommend future strategies
    11. Analyze & leverage current trend data to optimize and enhance campaigns



    * Minimum 5 years of social media management and digital marketing experience
    * At least 1 year of experience working with influencers on sponsored and press campaigns across a variety of digital platforms
    * Self-starter, highly motivated, positive demeanor, excellent communicator, and able to juggle multiple assignments simultaneously
    * Polished with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    * Strong verbal and written communication skills
    * Analytical with a comfort in dealing with numbers and reporting
    * Reasonable availability to respond to requests and attend the real-time needs of campaigns outside normal business hours
    * Understanding of paid media, social media, search, newsletter, and app marketing
    * Willingness and flexibility to “pitch in” with various ad-hoc projects to help support the larger Audience Development team
    * Proficient in Microsoft Office systems, specifically in Excel and PowerPoint
    * College degree required
    * Must have the legal right to work in the United States
