  • Position Summary

    Support the Partnership & Marketing, Integrated Ad Sales Marketing team with development and execution of client partnerships to drive revenue across the Discovery, Inc. portfolio

    Responsibilities

    1. Support the Partnership and Marketing team with the development and execution of convergent/multiplatform marketing initiatives across Discovery’s portfolio of network bundles including FTOC [Food, TLC, OWN, Cooking]; HIAD [HGTV, Investigation Discovery (ID), Animal Planet, DIY]; DTSM [Discovery, Travel, Science, Motor Trend] including responses to RFPs brainstorming creative solutions for advertiser needs
    2. Act as a key contact for the Integrated Ad Sales Marketing team, partnering with teams across the company including Ad Sales, Programming, Creative Services, traffic, Business Affairs, Digital, and Social in order to develop and execute custom marketing solutions
    3. Manage collection of sponsor assets and approval processes to fully activate added value such as On-Air Custom Billboards, Short form, and Tagged Tune-Ins, as well as turnkey digital and social assets.
    4. Maintain multiple departmental tracking documents and status reports
    5. Administrative support on special projects and events as needed
    6. Coordinate team meetings and assist in the preparation of internal marketing reports, agendas and communications

    Requirements

    * Bachelor Degree required
    * Requires 1-2 years of experience preferably in Ad Sales Marketing/Integrated Marketing or in TV, media, advertising
    * Ability to adapt work pace, capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to meet evolving deadlines
    * Knowledge of principles and methods of marketing and promotion within changing media landscape
    * Proficient working with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word and MS Outlook
    * Design experience or visual proficiency preferred
    * Enthusiastic self-starter who is eager to learn and share their knowledge with the team
    * Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills
    * Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    * Ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional groups.
