Position Summary

Discovery Engage is Discovery’s leading and innovative data driven advertising platform. Discovery Engage enables clients to activate and reach target audiences by leveraging Discovery’s rich content, diverse audiences through advanced data and technology. The position is responsible for monetization of all of Discovery Engage’s data driven initiatives across both linear and digital platforms. We are looking for a passionate and energetic go-getter who will drive the business to further scale. This lead needs to be a team player and well-networked in the marketplace. The role will be assigned to specific verticals and targets working closely with the traditional sales teams and assist in shaping the future roadmap of audience driven sales.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for assigned book of business and associated revenue goals
a. Prospect, evaluate, and close new revenue opportunities for Discovery’s data driven advanced advertising product ENGAGE
b. Cultivate and manage new/existing relationships to grow Engage revenue at both the client and agency level
c. Work closely and in partnership with traditional sales team to grow existing and generate new data driven revenue opportunities
2. Key POC and resident product expert for assigned agency/client book of business
3. Lead RFP fulfillment and strategic new business pitch to clients
4. Call on Agency/client Advanced Video leads/experts
5. Represent Discovery Engage at relevant trade shows and industry events
6. Maintain a deep understanding of current broadcast TV and online advertising trends and innovations
7. Work cross-functionally across sales, operations, product, marketing and finance teams
8. Drive dialogue with assigned list to continue to enhance and shape product
9. Assist in strategic roadmap
10. Help to develop positioning and go-to-market messaging based on client/agency interaction

Requirements

* Minimum 5-7 years of advanced video or advanced television advertising sales experience
* Self motivated, resourceful, enthusiastic and team oriented player
* Understands the buying and selling dynamics associated with the advanced television marketplace
* Experience and comfortable working and applying data and analytics to television (linear, addressable and digital)
* Works well with a team as well as individually
* Willing to travel extensively
* Must have legal right to work in the US
