Position Summary

We are a small, but mighty team, working at the cross roads of technology and entertainment to bring content from iconic television brands to our audiences over the Internet in the most delightful ways we can imagine and build. If you have a strong track record and passion for solving design problems with world class UX in close collaboration with talented developers, product managers, content creators and business owners, then we would love to talk to you about leading our design squad to produce engaging experiences across a portfolio of websites, apps and virtual reality platforms.

Responsibilities

1. Lead and mentor a team of UX designers, while rolling up your sleeves to directly contribute in conceptualizing and producing designs

2. Drive a design centric culture and practices for product development that motivates the team to create compelling work

3. Be the voice of the viewer by establishing and articulating a vision for world class UX focused on meeting our viewers’ needs

4. Understand business needs, technology capabilities and competitive activities to productively collaborate on creating our product strategy

5. Generate style guides, user journeys, information architectures, wire frames, prototypes, beautiful comps and other artifacts to support high velocity product delivery

6. Advocate for data driven product and design decisions through continuous experimentation

Requirements

* 10+ years designing and shipping web and mobile applications, including visual and interaction design as well as creating interactive prototypes
* 5+ years of managing a high performing team; ability to attract, retain and develop top talent

* Ability to give and receive feedback, while working with business owners, product managers, developers, content creation and marketing functions

* Proven track record of a curiosity to understand how our users think and behave

* Proficiency in design best practices and the tools / automation that enables them

* Familiarity with relevant digital media technologies to create feasible designs that meet business objectives and Agile with Devops processes to deliver them on time

* Portfolio of work that demonstrates experience with immersive interactive design across a variety of screen types

* Must have the legal right to work in the United States

* College degree; BFA/MFA preferred

* Experience designing virtual reality and augmented reality desirable
